The Marin County Council of Mayors and Councilmembers is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and tech-savvy professional to serve as its Secretary/Treasurer. This part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, supporting public meetings and officials, managing communications and records, and helping an organization run smoothly and efficiently. The position supports MCCMC’s monthly meetings, Legislative Committee coordination, records management, and basic financial administration. Day-to-day work is completed remotely. In-person attendance is required at the monthly MCCMC meeting, location rotates around Marin County, and the monthly meeting of the MCCMC Legislative Committee.
We are looking for a strong administrative professional with excellent written communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage recurring workflows with consistency and follow-through. Familiarity with Brown Act compliance, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Copilot, and AI productivity or automation tools is especially valuable.
Estimated workload is approximately 20–30 hours per month, with negotiable hourly compensation and a monthly retainer not to exceed $2,500. For the right candidate, this role also offers a potential pathway into a broader future leadership role.
